Below is a partial list of assignments conducted by Collis Consulting:

  • Conducted an International Trade Seminar on the Implications of HACCP for the largest Poultry Producers Association in Guyana, South America. Benchmarked poultry processors, hatcheries and feed mills against the CODEX standard. Reviewed relevant Regulatory Acts and Food Safety and Quality Codes of Practice. Trained industry and government personnel on HACCP
  • Contracted by The Canadian International Grains Institute (CIGI) to design and deliver one On-Farm Food Safety (OFFS) program for a visiting delegation of Chinese agri-food professionals (22 - experts, government officials, extension workers and researchers.) The scope of the engagement included program delivery and organizing a Field Trip to vegetable growers and a Vegetable Distribution Centre/Packinghouse
  • Contracted with a multi-national dairy company to provide a comprehensive training needs assessment and detailed plan to train a multi-ethnic group of employees (where English is the Second Language). Developed training curricula and conducted training for lead hands to become "coaches" and "team trainers"
  • Contracted by a University of Manitoba, Food Science Department as a sessional lecturer - designed and delivered curriculum for an Introduction to Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP), food safety management system course (for 4th-year undergraduates) modelled after the Canadian Food Inspection Agency's (CFIA) Food Safety Enhancement Program (FSEP)
  • Conducted a feasibility study for a community college in Manitoba to investigate the training needs of the food industry entrepreneurs and small business; determine best practices for training options; and assess the feasibility for a pilot program in Agri-food Entrepreneurship.
