- Conducted a study on behalf of the Ministry of Agriculture (for a leading provincial government) a Strategic Analyses of the impact that the province's Food Industry Development Centre (FC) has on the food industry in that province. The scope of the study included consultations and interviews with industry and a Business Review of the services provided by the Food Centre as measured against other Food Centres in Manitoba, Alberta and Ontario. Areas investigated included ownership and governance, funding-public versus private, product development activities, training programs and extension related services; and food technology transfer and food processing capabilities.
- Conducted on behalf of the Ministry of Agriculture (for a leading provincial government) an in-depth examination of the auditing needs of the province's agri-food sector and the development of alternative business models for the delivery of auditing services. - Performed a strategic business plan for a key agri-food business unit (Dairy Plant) for a federally operated corrections facility - helping position the business unit for future competition by upgrading and streamlining the operation, selecting appropriate product lines, exploring new distribution channels and training key personnel in food production and quality systems
